By engaging with the Metabolic Outlaw Institute via digital terminals, video conferencing, or biometric surveillance platforms, you provide your informed consent to receive medical services via telehealth.
01 Nature of Telehealth
Telehealth involves the delivery of healthcare services using electronic communications, information technology, and other means between a healthcare provider and a patient who are not in the same physical location. At the Institute, this includes:
- Secure video conferencing for Diagnostic Strategy Reviews.
- Transmission of biometric data via the High-Resolution Surveillance Suite.
- Secure messaging and digital file sharing via the Practice Better portal.
02 Clinical Engagement Status
The Prerequisite Phase: You acknowledge that purchasing a Biological Evaluation ($497) initiates a diagnostic intake process. A formal physician-patient relationship is not fully established until you have completed the comprehensive intake forms within Practice Better and Dr. Shawn Gorden has formally accepted your case for optimization or rescue.
03 Risks, Benefits, & Limitations
The Benefits: Increased access to specialized forensic metabolic medicine, elimination of geographic barriers, and real-time biometric monitoring.
The Risks: While we utilize HIPAA-compliant, military-grade encryption, telehealth carries inherent risks including technical failures, interruptions, or unauthorized access to data. Furthermore, a lack of physical examination may limit the physician’s ability to identify certain physical symptoms.
04 Privacy & Security Protocols
All telehealth interactions are governed by our Privacy Protocol. We utilize Practice Better for all clinical records and video sessions to ensure the highest standards of HIPAA compliance. You are responsible for ensuring your own environment is private and your internet connection is secure during video briefings.
05 Jurisdiction & Licensure
Dr. Shawn Gorden is a licensed physician in the State of Texas. Services are provided from our Austin Headquarters. You acknowledge that medical services are considered to be rendered in the state where the physician is licensed and located at the time of the encounter.
06 Withdrawal of Consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent to telehealth services at any time. Withdrawal of consent will result in the termination of your active protocol, as our model is built exclusively on high-resolution remote surveillance and digital forensics.
